Weekly Update (2) : You only Live Tiwce

Sequence : Blodfeld's Volcano Lair

This is an update on my progress with the 3D model of the Blofeld's Volcano Lair set design by Ken Adam. The 3d model illustrates primary kinetic constructions that appeared in this sequence of the movie. It includes, Retractable Roof Crater, Helipad, Shuttle launch pad and fully functioned monorail.

Diagrammatic Sketch Update

Here is the attempt to map out possible kinetic movements that happened within the Volcano. The whole sequence took a long time and last for about 40 minutes of the last part of the film. Therefore, I'm still not sure which part of the sequence I should focuses on. So my strategy was to break the movie into smaller parts with clear objectives of the plot that certain choreography have to happened in order to narrate the storyline. For example, the sequence when james bond break into the Volcano. There are also many other sequences such as when bond try to sneak inside one of the monorail train to get inside the dressing room.
